Wow! A great event  :)

That's an awesome campaign map too - glad it includes Malta (Melitae) as we're often forgotten in world maps (let alone historical ones)!!

Next year’s campaign will see us move forward to the death of the republic and the wars of Pompey and Caesar.

Expect more fun and shenanigans.

Your game days always look impressive, great photos. Did you use the WAB Punic wars supplement?

Hi John,

Short answer, no.
However we did steal some of the ideas from that book and the Alexander book (both my favourites from V1)

We used AoA2 army lists, because they are balanced.
Plus we were playing V2 of the game!

Next year’s event is slightly different though.
The Late Republican Roman list is a bit of an afterthought in V2.
(Which is odd considering it was such a pivotal point in European history)
So we will probably bastardise the current lists into useable lists for our ‘Civil War’ event.

Expect more of an Allied exchange rather than mercenary exchange.
Oh! And chariot racing!!!  ;)

I shall have to come on down next year!

I had no idea we had so many WAB-bers in Bedford, I'm only down the road in Rushden!

That looks amazing. I would love to play an event like that one day, or a long campign.
