We continued with CoC, more precisely Max and I were able to test the new version (v2) of the rules that had been released 3 days earlier.
As usual, the setting was ‘Operation Husky’. Max took on my US Armoured against his platoon of Bersaglieri I was commanding.

We then started again with the first mission in the rules (‘The Patrol’) and will work our way through all the other missions in the upcoming games.
The game was damn tight, the new version is more clearly written and easier to understand, the changes are all well-made and make perfect sense.
In short, we were thrilled.

Here are a few impressions of the game, a full BatRep can be found on my blog as usual:

Nice looking game and a good game report. I’m really liking the v2 CoC rules, they don’t change the game so much as refine it and offer a few more tactical options. You definitely don’t want to be caught bunched up, that doesn’t end well!

Fantastic looking table once again, yet to read through the blog. Looking forward to hear about the 2nd ed of CoC, as I never played 1e.

Yeah we like v2 too, same reasons as for you, it´s even much more interactive now as was before.

And yes, while in v1 this was a tactic zu spread the hits on more teams, now it´s a signal for disaster - and rightly so.
