Edit: Zorndorf 1758 battle report part 2 - Victory
« on: 22 August 2024, 12:48:31 PM »
After so many months fighting a Peninsular campaign the lads still want me to ring the changes. So, our next game will be a SYW battle. It's one I've done before but it still makes for a good game with plenty of eye candy. And, it's the anniversary is in three days time.

My Zorndorf 1758 set up.

Thank you all for your kind words.

I've painted the couple of hundred Crusaders I bought at the same time as the Sudan collection, plus some odds and sods for my Italian Wars collection but not one figure for the Sudan - though I have the first batch of 36 Beja on painting armatures. I just need to settle on the basing before I begin - no point going off half cock.

I seem to be saying this an awful lot lately but its true - a fantastic table and beautiful paint jobs...that last photo in particular (with the command group and carriage in the background) is worthy of a magazine front cover.

Oooh, lovely. Makes me realize we have a carriage that needs to see the table again too.

And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Bloody lovely stuff, as always.

Once again, I can hear my SYW Russians in the depths of the Lead Dungeon, crying "Paint meeeeeee!"   :(

My Zorndorf 1758 set up.

:o :o Don't know anything about this battle but how can those vastly outnumbered chaps in the Ville possibly win? I will read this one  avidly.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt
