Which LotR models did the Perry brothers sculpt?
« on: September 17, 2024, 04:13:13 PM »
Nothing after Smaug, I know that, but is there an easy way to reference which of the line they sculpted?

And which may have been hand sculpted in general, Perry or otherwise?

EDIT: I think I was able to narrow it down with this:

Alan Perry: https://miniset.net/persons/alan-perry/sculpts/games-workshop/lord-of-the-rings
Michael Perry: https://miniset.net/persons/michael-perry/sculpts/games-workshop/lord-of-the-rings

But it does not seem complete, or they did less than I assumed for the range.

Oh yeah, they definitely did a lot more than that!

I recalled there was a list over on WarSeer of all releases and (almost) all the sculptors listed too - mainly missing for the more recent sets, when GW stopped crediting them by name.

WarSeer is of course down nowadays, but I had the page bookmarked and the Wayback Machine seems to work; hope it functions as a direct link: https://web.archive.org/web/20210421224038/https://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?277821-Games-Workshop-Lord-of-the-Rings-Release-Timeline

And part two: https://web.archive.org/web/20210421224038/https://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?277821-Games-Workshop-Lord-of-the-Rings-Release-Timeline

Awesome, thank you! The second link appears to be the same as the first.

So it seems!

If you click on "Next Post" (just above the main message), you should get to the second part then, which should open with:
"February 2004
Easterlings (MP)
*Easterling Command (AP)
Army of the Dead (AP & MP)
Warriors of the Dead (AP & MP)
The Fall of the Witch King (AP)

January 2004" etcetera, all the way to the start of the range.  :)
