Woodland Buildings
« on: 22 September 2024, 12:49:32 AM »
I am wondering if there are any 28mm models of Native American Buidlings/villages for my French and Indian Wargames?  Any and all recommendations would be welcome.  I am interested in Longhouses, etc.
 Thank you in advance

One of my friends is scratch-building a small village. ...I probably wouldn't have enough patience.  ::)

The "Miniature Building Authority" in the US produce a nice range.  I guess hellishly expensive to import to Europe.

If you can find any from Acheson Creations, they are amazing. He's somewhat retired, now, but there are companies out there carrying his products.

These are made of a plastic resin of sorts and are sooo easy to get painted up and onto the tabletop!

Was just poking at those, looks like they got the STL files from Acheson.

I've been hunting for STL files here, buying filament for a friend with a printer would be a darn sight cheaper than buying prints through MBA.

Haven't found any longhouses.  Did find a nice wigwam in this set:

Here in the northeast where I'm modelling, Mohican, Wappinger, and Abenaki hunting camps and houses were round birch bark covered wigwams.  Settlements would have one or more central community longhouses.  So just the wigwams will do for a hunting camp or the outskirts of a larger settlement.

Last update of the scratch-built protect I mentioned earlier (but I don't want to highjack the thread and it's not my own work).
