Somewhere, over the rainbow.... :)

maybe I should ask Doc for a limited resin version with cast in wires....
drilling through a whole lead miniature might be a tough piece  ;)

I believe Jim has it on the money. Sounds right, anyway. I have several of his pulp sets. He doesn't do the pulp stuff as awesome, but he always does a magnificent job when he does so.

As for a limited edition resin version, former user... *grin* Keep on dreaming those dreams, brother. That said, he's sold -extremely- well, so maybe when I get rich from selling one million Teslas...;) (HAH!)

Incidentally, I should mention that my father finds it very amusing that we're earning money on a Serbian miniature. Should have made my first big sale with a Hungarian, he insists. But Houdini isn't ready yet... ;)

just theoretically -
would it be technically possible to cast resin in a lead mould?

I understand that wiring a cast is next to imposible  ;)
if it comes to drilling, I'd be better of with lead anway

Probably possible, yes. I don't see why not. The resin I use for home casting says specifically that it can be used in metal molds.
I'm vaguely aware of some resin casts with wiring in them from a few years back, but I would guess they were cast around some kind of wire armature, and were probably fairly expensive to make. I know that's the way some of the wired action figures are done, as well. Others just drill in, and put the wires in after the miniature is finished.

well, how shall I put it...
maybe You could give an estimate as to how much a resin-cast special run (material, caster working time etc) might cost, so that interested people could balance it against the work to drill through a whole lead miniature ??  :D

drilling through a whole resin miniature would be nuts...

in terms of customer-friendly policies it could be a plus to have that?  ;)
maybe?  ;)
I mean, wired lighted tanks etc....  :)
