Tesla! (Painted Black Army Nikola Tesla)
« on: November 30, 2009, 01:05:38 PM »
Some painted shots of Master Tesla, in action...

Tesla, the man himself!

Tesla contemplates a device.

Tesla battles the insidious agents of Dr. Gigantopithicus!

Our most popular figure. For a reason, I guess;)

Yeah, I thin he's a must for my WWWII collection, even if I never find a way to fit him in.

I think I just discovered the mastermind for the "International Anarchist Insurrection Army"  ;)

I was wondering if I could replace the lead bulb with a LED...

Nice job Doc.  Bedwry love to see how you would do the LED that would be cool.

there was a tutorial somewhere by a guy who lighted up the eyes of his Space Marines, or even Necrons....
Maybe I'll try next year

Many many years ago I got some test shots of GW plastic Orks in clear plastic and put led's inside them. I painted them up as normal but left the eyes unpainted so that they lit up. It worked well but the paint was not quite opaque enough to hide the light completely on the rest of the model.

Thanks for the kind words, gang. The terrain was manufactured by a guy who occasionally sells various pieces of Pulp terrain on Ebay. When I find his name, I'll post it here. The plan is to eventually do some scenic stuff, myself, but most of the capital and effort are going into flushing out the ranges and getting them complete, along with adding a new range or two.

You'll probably like the next wave of Champions, too:) Mata Hari, John Dillinger (with multiple weapon options), Julian the Apostate, and... well... you'll never guess in a million years;) Probably available before Christmas.

Drilled up a leg, through the body and into the head. Just wide enough to thread the led up there. Battery under the base - nothing fancy just connected on or disconnected off.

I should still have them somewhere - somewhere ;D
