Not been painting much of late but the prospect of Ayton always instils a little mojo. As the only thing I need figures for is Simon's (Goat Major) Lace Hulk game - an C18th dungeon game...

I could have just brought along the Altefritzenburg dragoons from last time...

but... a new Ottoman crew seemed a better choice...

Janissaries

NCO types...

Leaders...

And all in action...

And some civilians...

The orange guy is Warfare Miniatures. The rest are Warlord... The lady...unknown and the Nun is Midlam

Nice to have painted something again...

Excellent indeed! But since it’s Lace Hulk, I’m now eager to hear about the enemies. Will you stay true to history or delve into fantasy?

Great work on the Ottomans

Do tell more about Lace Hulk - not finding much via Google.

I think Simon (who built the tunnels) is planning various things. Our initial game had four teams starting in each corner and trying to rescue captives, protect their own prisoner, and fight off hordes of cultists and the like. I've got a load of pics somewhere. It's still early days (we don't meet up that often) but other games are planned.

That's a great idea, re-imagining the Space Hulk concept into the Ottoman period. Love it!

I'd love to see those Obelisk Miniatures undead Baluchis in there.  Perfect for this.

And maybe Anno 1666 minis would do nicely, as well.  They are for that period and come in little factions who would make perfect dungeon crawler parties.
