[Argad] Scalps, fights, and hard liquor
« on: October 30, 2024, 10:44:38 AM »
Hi,

An AAR in good-humoured French (...not sure online translators will understand everything) with many detailed pictures of a FIW adventure played last Sunday at LudOuest games festival, in Theix-Noyalo (Brittany).
Ruleset: Argad extension (mix of RPG and miniature skirmish).

Wonderful looking game and a nice AAR.
Your stockade is exceptionally nice.

Can you share insights about your terrain pieces?
Scratchbuilt or commercial?

Thanks

Thanks.  :)

The table was 4.80 x 1.80 m. Almost all terrain elements are scratch-built, except 2 or 3 houses and most of the trees.

The fort and other things have been made by Jean-Jacques who also was the game master.
Pictures of the construction of the fort are scattered in this thread:

(thread that also includes pics found and posted by some members as other examples although not belonging to us, sorry).

The game was great fun with different objectives and informations for all players. I myself had a group of trappers whose aim was to sell liquor to everyone and avoid all the fightings. I succeeded rather well, I didn't fire a single shot, was not shot at, and luckily escaped arrest by a French officer who was looking for me but he had no time to run after me because of the fort siege.  lol
