With regard to the issue of what is or isn’t off-topic, it may be worth bearing in mind that the first game to bear a ‘Never Mind’ title was itself a play on words, and that I was not the first, second, or third poster to continue that tradition in this thread.

Never mind. FWIW I also have the rules and it may be worth pointing out for the benefit of the undecided that the necessary cards - or to be more accurate, images thereof - are printed inside the supplement, meaning that one will either have to copy them and cut them out or download them, as is the case with the equally necessary tokens. This was not the case with Billhooks, even though it was also published as a supplement with WI, as professionally printed cards and acrylic tokens were also available to purchase. This will presumably also be the case in the event that  deluxe edition of Matchlocks ensues, though it would be nice to have the option of acquiring them now.

And the pike and shot genre is already served by many established rule sets (unlike the Wars of the Roses).
I think you are right, there are many rules, but I miss a real good set of skirmish rules for the period. A lot can not bring this feeling of pike and shoot to a small table.

I’d agree with that

Printed cards for Matchlocks are already available from the WI shop :)

Ever fallen in love, in love with someone
You shouldn't have fallen in love with?
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

So puns are suddenly permissible again? I’m sure I had one or two more that have slipped my mind. Never mind…

Actually I’m much too mature for this kind of thing but my imaginary friend has just whispered, “NEVER MIND THE CAPSLOCK” and I can’t deny him anything.
