Seriously remarkable stuff, would love to know more about this person and their gaming history, inspiration, reading list etc. Also seeing the few Middle-Earth posts makes me wish there were more of those.

Hi Moonglum,
I'm Euthanasor, scenarist and model maker of our sengoku era adventures. I'm french, psychatrical nurse, 55 yo. Crazy about History.
I read all I can about japan, samourais, architecture, comics, novels... for about 10 years. An era that always inspired me. I always have a pen to write everything that seems interesting to me. My Brain mixes all that for months, players do the remainder.
I wach all the mocies I could. Old B&W Korusawa's, recent ones, NHK dramas (each year, This japaneese chanel produces an 50 episodes serie about a character from japan history. An nimber ot them is about Senkoku Jidai Daimyo.
It's too hard to follox history in game so, my scenarios are moste of the time, fictionnal but inspired and immersive. Most ot the ruses used in our saga were found in books or series, whatever the era it occured. Some matured for years in my brain waiting for the best context to be played.

The rule we play, is the best for that kind of game. I tried several times to add mass fights to most of the role playing game we used to play but it was missed most of the time. Too heavy, detailed,... and then, frustrating. It's a lot aesier (believe my experience) to choose a miniature wargame (the one you are familiar with) and to had skills and abilities to some of the characters. Players discusses together when they meet on the ground or battlefield. Game is not about winning but spending good time in a well driven adventure. I'm sure most of my players reminds their death(s) better than their success.

None of the death of the father, then the son in the following game, were writen. Today their is still a hidden heir who escaped the carnage in his mother belly. ^_^

I also have the great advantage of building my own models, also, I always build the settings I need and the miniatures as well.

Thanks for that! Your research and passion really come through in these projects. Were you gaming before you started doing this samurai era research 10 years ago?

Also, it sounds to me like your games run similarly to how Dungeons & Dragons was run before it was published in 1974. Wargaming on a smaller scale with some narrative thrown on top. The Braunstein campaign and even early Blackmoor are examples of this.

NHK, Taiga drama : My favorite is Gunshi Kambe, I saw several times. Furin Kazan, Sanada Maru, Tenchijin. Watching several of them allow you to see the story of the era and famous daimyos from the point of you of different characters.
