While having a clear out I found some weathering powders I bought ages ago and never used. Instead of binning them I decided to keep them and use them on a vehicle of some kind, the next day these come out.

It's gotta' be God's work  :D

You're right Brother Bugsda. The Lord works in mysterious ways...  ;)

I felt the same a couple of weeks ago when I posted saying what a great shame that Copplestone had never done Zulus for any of his Darkest Africa ranges... And bugger me, within 3 days, Foundry announces DA Zulus - which, let's face it - are Copplestones with a bit of titivation.
You couldn't make it up.
Happily  :D

I fear the day I´ll hear the price for the Independent, yet I´ll most probably HAVE to buy one. I wanted a model of the Independent ever since I first saw a picture of it in 1992, and that one looks so nice that I would like to forego the trouble of building one from scratch.

Less so for the Medium MkIII. That one´s somehow "Meh"-dium in my book, and I think 32 Pounds is a bit stiff for that.

Will probably end up getting both - but the new BEF Miniatures FCM 2C (on Crouchie's blog) is bigger, AND cheaper at £25 (but limited in its initial production run).

Nice find... very nice indeed. So many possibilities with these..

Now, if only he'd do some of the British vehicles that were actually exported...

Or even saw active service.

I know I will buy  one of each, because well, it's my favourite period for AFVs and I've long wanted to game the crushing of the US army on the plains of Canada by the Experimental Mechanised Force but I do wish he would do some useful Light tanks for India and the Middle East.

my oh my.....
these are gorgeous

I agree that they are not cheap, but compared to some plastic kits... (not GW  ;))

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol
this is funny:

"Medium Mark III

The disappointments in the A6 design led to that a new design, the "Medium Mark III", was being constructed in 1930.[2] It was similar to the A6 design but featured a new turret and improved armor. Still, the designed suffered from its bad suspension design. Three Mark IIIs were built, one by Vickers and two by the Royal Ordnance Factory at Woolwich. However no orders followed due to its high price."

So we have to buy only three? :-*

If you're interested in 'what if's', they are the tanks to get for the British. I do see the point of people asking for other vehicles though. There were numerous other vehicles which were used (Light tanks Mks 1-5, various other Vickers designs etc), which would be more common, even if these vehicles had seen service.

Given the size of the models, the price is probably fair (out of my price range though), when you consider that a Vickers Light tank is £16 from another manufacturer.

They are attractive kits and like BEF's Char 2C, will be quite intimidating on table.  :)
