Fabulous looking horde. Can't wait to see them go head-to-head against your elves.

This is seriously impressive. I quite like the based units. It does make them look more alive.

As someone currently building a suitably large Chaos Dwarf/Hobgoblin army, I applaud your results...keep it up!

Thanks for all the positive feedback folks. Rebasing the orcs was a big task and took longer than I expected. My elves, on the other hand, were much easier and I almost had them finished but chose to divert towards the orcs and their evil allies. That said: I've now got the eves finished and ready to give battle. I'll start smaller to get to know the rules before I start with the two full armies.
Have you managed to get a game in?
Not yet. I'll start smaller in order to get to grips with the rules before I start with the two full armies. By the time I "Go Big" I should have another few armies ready to go - I still have my Northern Men, Undead, Forest Folk, Knightly Kingdom and a few other odd things to get rebased. They each consist of a couple of hundred figures or thereabouts.

Anyhow here is the army of The Erlking High King of the Elves. As usual there are many more photo's a write up on  y blog. Just click the link below:

Wow, that’s beautiful! Great job all around on that elf army, they look disciplined but there’s enough variety in the colours and unit types to be interesting to look at. They should be interesting to play, as well!

Thanks. I did want them to look disciplined but not too rigid in their stance so they're not standing perfectly in line. I hoping to get a game in soon.

Thank you.

Another army rebased from singles onto unit bases. This time it's my Anglo-Saxons which I intend to use for historical and fantasy battles. With them are also my "Northern Riders" (aka: Not The Riders of Rohan). They don't quite match each other in style with the infantry being later Dark Age and the riders being earlier Goths but it's my fantasy army and that's how they are going to take the field for the time being until I get around to doing more riders and matching Goth foot.

Great looking armies. And another nod to the shields on the riders - they do look rather splendid

Thanks for all of you positive support, guys. I really appreciate it.

I've been a bit quite on the wargaming front and it has taken me a while to get this latest army on the table. This is my Forest Folk / Woodland army. The army itself was much larger but I've decided to split it into two - The second part will be a sort of weird Wonderland army (as in Alice in Wonderland) - made up of some strange and unusual troops that I have, that don't really fit anywhere else. It will be a weird one.

As usual, there are a whole lot more extra photo's and a bunch of writing on my blog at the link below.
