Midgard Heroic Battles
« on: March 16, 2025, 12:06:50 PM »
I finally published my Midgard review (Released November 2024) with my first battles. I have really enjoyed the rules and the games they produced, and IMO they captured the feeling of these heroes led by conflicts, so worth a try.
Initially, I saw Midgard as a means of using figures locked in boxes for several years. However, the visual appeal of the games has led me to start an alternative history of Arthur, the War of the Roses and a Anarchy projects. The bane of the wargamer - more projects.
Anyway, here is my review with two battle reports on Viking and Saxon clashes.

Good review.  The thing midgard does best is give interesting decision points in what could be very boring shieldwall warfare.  Line up and bash is not inherently interesting but these rules do allow for interesting decisions.
