Lion rampant Renaissance?
« on: 05 December 2024, 09:39:55 PM »
I believe there was an article in Wargames illustrated with amendments for converting LR to cover Renaissance warfare.
I wonder if someone could tell me the issue number please?

It appears to be 368.
Or you could get Pieman's Lament.
* Pikeman's, but now I'd like to see a Pieman's Lament variant.  :D

It is #368, indeed.

I just ordered a copy from Noble Knights in USA.

Read the blog Camisado (excellent blog by the way) and they used it for a small historical scenario they played from the Great Italian Wars. I have the troops to do this one myself and really want to put it on for my local group.

We are quite familiar with Lion Rampant and Pikeman's Lament, love that system. I want to see what modifications they made for the Renaissance period.

Ahh thank you!
Yes I have Piemans lament, found it quite crusty but with a good filling.
Just really interested to see what changes are proposed for the early Renaissance period.
I am contemplating a Marian civil war project inspired by the late Stuart Inch's wonderful blog .

Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Hi, You may also want to check out Wargames Illustrated 330 which covers the Conditerria and I think was by Dan the man himself.

The Aurther of the early Tudor has a blog and a Facebook page called Army Royal.
