A filling station is a must-have for zombie scenarios...! Look forward to seeing it all put together. Mine was the Sarissa Precision one...

Printing off signs and colored/patterned scrapbooking paper for walls and floors is your friend...  lol

Those were exactly my thoughts!  :D

Your station looks very good, nicely done!  :-*

I hope mine will come out nicely too. I'm going to go with a green/ red colour scheme. Undecided whether I want to make the dinosaur red or green  ;).

Well, blowing up gas pumps can be a way to get rid of many zombies. I don't know if there's a rule for that...  :D

And the ensuing explosion is also a sure fire way of attracting even more  lol.

With newfound energy and motivation in the zombie apocalypse genre, I give you, the first painted miniature for 2025!  :o

Mantic games The Walking Dead Rick Grimes on horseback. My usual Armypainter Speedpaint 2.0 paint and some slapped on basing material, calling it done.

Thank you Sir! I think the Walking Dead sculpts are quite good, not too overly detailed but looks nice painted up. Quite happy with the result, dynamic figure  :).

The latest building in my zombie apocalypse gaming project. Lone Pine Residence from TT Combat's MDF line. Came together quite nicely and I like the little extra bit in the form of a barbecue  lol. I printed off some textures on bog standard A4 white paper and stuck on the interior walls and some floor texture in the same manner.

This time around I experimented with some Armypainter Glistening Blood, in an attempt to give a splattering effect and watered it down, probably too much, and it didn't run as I had expected  :(, but I literally can't be bothered to rectify that so I'll keep it.

Looks great -- love the blood effects. I'm too cheap to do that because I want my buildings to be able to be used for a variety of periods...  lol

I like the flooring inside - good job with it!  :-*

Excellent job! I have something similar planned for this spring, just need to find the time. I’ll be watching this thread for inspiration.

Cheers Mike!

I am getting better at putting some extra efforts into a kit and enjoying the process of adding some simple things to make a big difference, but I have to watch myself so I "don't bite off more than I can chew". The key is to finish a building and move on to the next bit, NOT stopping to fiddle with umpteen little details and then come to a dreaded halt  :o. When I've finished building the terrain and painted the minis, I MIGHT go back and add little bits, unless I'm onto a different project. My buildings will most likely only see two/ three different eras of gaming: the wild west, the zombie apocalypse or other disastrous circumstances, so a little blood spatter/ warning signs will feel right at home  lol.

Thank you Pattus Magnus!

I would be very pleased if you got some inspiration out of this  :), I'm enjoying the collecting and creating. For once I think I've "done it right". I've assembled some bits, but not gone overboard and I have a generous time frame. The game is not really due until April at the earliest.

The recommendation I would like to give, but that's my opinion of course, is that: if you plan to game in 28mm, Sarissa Precision is probably a better option and if you play in Heroic 28mm/32mm I would go with TT Combat. I think the TT Combat kits are a little bit larger so looks better at the table with the Heroic sizes, although both are very viable options.

Thanks for that suggestion, Legionnaire, I’ve wondered about that. Most of my survivors are 28mm and the zeds are a mix of 28mm and Zombicide (32mm ?) figures. I have one TT Combat house (Coyote Manor), but haven’t assembled it yet. TT Combat is great for price and will match the house I have, but Sarissa models also look great… decisions, decisions!

Keeping at it with my Last Days project. Day off so spent roughly 2 hours painting up these 6 zombies. I experimented a bit with Armypainter Glistening Blood effect paint.

"Flicking" it off the brush proved unsatisfactory, as the paint is fairly thick and sticks well to the brush.

I had previously watered it down, hoping it would run, but it didn't perform as expected, and being watered down it took on a more pink hue.

This time I tried blowing the paint off the brush to create a spatter pattern. That proved to work ok, but I really had to use my lung power  lol. Having a cardboard box behind to catch the spatter is a VERY good idea :o.

I also received my Anvil Industries delivery. Man, those bits are nice  :-*. Just a few things to try my hand at modifying a model for the upcoming games, to give them a WYSIWYG. The backpacks will be painted up in bright civilian colours lol and the Dragunov will be added to my "designated sharpshooter".

I have no bits box of my own, but a gentleman at my club has kindly offered to have a rummage and see what he has that can fit. I expect that some survivors will be kitted out with some WWII surplus gear/ weapons  lol.

More good progress.

And don't sweat the blood on the house not running down.  Unless there's a lot, it tends to just smear or spot.  Don't ask how I know..... :o
