Something that stands out to me is the range of subjects and the variation in vessels which is great to see. Cracking work all round!

it would be nice for more smaller rounds, then I could at least show some love to the other projects...

And round 1 is done. Congrats to all the excellent entries. Group 2 was amazingly close all the way to the end, it really did look like we were going to have to need a tiebreaker there.

Round 2 will begin shortly after I get the pictures, which are due in 7 days - May 1st. The usual midnight PDT. The matchups will be:
Snitchythedog vs Spinal Tap
and
Codsticker vs McMordain

I will note I am travelling next weekend but will have my laptop with me, so should be able to post the photos.

I'm definitely open to doing something different if there is consensus for next time. What did you have in mind?

Oh wow, can't believe so many folk voted for my build but thank you all.

So many varied and brilliant builds shows the depth of skills in LAF.

Good luck to my fellow semifinalists; I'm honoured to be among such esteemed company.

Is it still one 1000X1000 pixle photo or can we add more?  Just checking as I have never made it to round two.

Just one photo at 1000x1000. For the final round you can do a game scene, but the semi finals the same rules apply.

You could run it like the Lead Painters League: 1 v 1 brackets. The only downside to that is you could have two really nice builds face off against each other in the first round, leading to one build that would otherwise place highly being relegated to the small final.

Could some round-robin rounds, with top 4 advancing. That way if you stuck in the group of death, there's a way our. Or have top 3 advance and have an "audience save" vote of all the lovers losers.

And the semi finals are live!

As we discussed, assuming we don't have a tie, after the semi finals we've most first to a bronze medal match and then the finals, in sequence.
