BSC 2025 Tarnegol's Brewhouse
« on: 11 January 2025, 06:15:12 PM »
The Acorn Inn is (will be) the centre of the Wessex village of Little Cockingham, which will be the setting for my witch and demon hunting using Devilry Afoot. This build will be of the inn's brewhouse, operated by Kerensa Penhallick, the landlady and alewife.

A brewhouse and a distillery. May the best alcohol win!

Unfortunately it's a competition, so sadly yes

I love that it already has a story attached to it...

Will watch with interest

This is the picture from which I draw inspiration. At least two large vessels, (see what I did there?) one a boiling copper and the other a mash tun. I'm going to build said vessels and a few other necessary bits and pieces before deciding upon the final form of the building that will house them.
Now back to the tidying of the shed so that I have a place to work. Using the relatively newly decorated bedroom may result in undesirable, but deserved, domestic strife!

I love these old drawings. I've got a few myself that I'm using for inspiration as distilling and brewing really aren't that different.

Before you start, get your stuff together.
Here we have oak for the mash tun and copper and tiny bricks for the boiling copper. If the bricks survive the first attempt it'll be a miracle, particularly as they seem to be being taken over by the Mysterons. Also a barrel kit.

Good luck to all joining in this year, I look forward to seeing the awesome creations that will inevitably result.
