BSC2025 cleo - Spaceship
« on: January 12, 2025, 03:25:23 PM »
I want to build a spaceship that mines asteroids. Whether it will be a pirate ship or a cooperative vessel is still undesided. My first idea for a name: Kobayashi Maru  ;)

Better than the MS Achille Lauro.  Bad luck that one had.

1. Hooray for a spaceship build; looking forward to it.

2.  I had to google the name but now I imagine she will have a captain like Zapp Brannigan.

That sounds great Cleo, what sort of scale/size are you thinking of making it?

Thanks for your replies.  :)

Yes, I'm excited to see what the spaceship will look like at the end, a bit of Star Trek and lots of my own ideas... At the moment my preferred scale is 1:72, but I also have some in 1:50. I'm going to build the Kobayashi Maru in 1:15.

Can't wait for the competition to start. :-*

I wonder if Zapp Brannigan wears pants? :o

Now I'm really stoked; the Kobayashi Maru had a length of 237m according to memoryalphafandom, so recreating that in 1:15 would make your build 15.8m long. That'll make your entry the biggest one in a BSC ever. (It might even rival a certain wizard's tower  ;D )

All kidding aside though; even if that scale was a typo, this should prove to be a really interesting build  :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
