Fantastic! Great brushwork too!
I like them, that Warmachine model is a nice find.
I like them, that Warmachine model is a nice find.
Thanks for the praise folks.  :-*

Taking a break from the more Necromunda heavy stuff I thought I'd share one or two other bits and pieces. I know I have shared my Xeno -  All Out War participation game stuff on here before so won't revisit stuff I have done unless I take pics of in game action etc. That said, there is stuff that I have bought and intended to use for it but not yet had the chance to put on the table.

These chaps are intended to operate as space pirate types or scummy mercs for hire types. Essentially, your basic thieving, not very nice, guns for hire / pirates. The intended leader (sword and pistol) is from Crooked Dice, the others are from Checkpoint Miniatures. From what I can see they fit in fine, though not as chunky, with the Stargrave stuff and oldschool GW metals from Rogue Trader and 2nd Edition. I might add to these in the future and when they have been deployed for dice rolling!

These two are intended to be the start of a selection of penal colony type folks. I can't find it at the moment but I found a free stl of some robot types that I had a couple printed of with the intention of being the "guards". Anyway, the one on the left here is a Fenris Games hill billy miniature with a headswap with a GW flagellant head. The one on the right is a Hasslefree miniature that was badly mangled by one of the kids I work with. The head swapped out for a plastic GW catachan one and the arms swapped out for some from Anvil industries. I need to try and find some decals that look like prison numbers...  Again, for use with the same setting as the pirates.

Great stuff; they're alll suitably scummy and not types I'd ask to keep an eye on my bike  8)

And it may be me, but the scum guy on the far right makes me think of pineapple for some reason...   :D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Great looking scum, those CP minis really pop with your painting style.

Love these penal types, great kitbashing!

Slow progress at the moment, but then, that's to be expected with a 7week old son in the mix!  lol

The next market stall, WIP, needs finishing touches. The fabric isn't finished and there are some details to add once the main stall is done. I'm leaving the signs on all of them until last.

A couple of details added to the next platform & bulkhead building. Contemplating what colour to do it, or whether to go red again and slightly change the yellow markings so the two could be stacked if desired. Little maintenance hatches made from squares of cardboard and hinges from clipped paper clip (these look really convincing when painted).

Just a base prepped for the next miniature to join the trenchcoat gangers. WIP as the wires and the yellow trip hazard stripes haven't been finished yet. Not going to do the black and yellow hazard stripes on this, just yellow.

Lastly, a couple of shots of a WIP game at a friends place. The trenchies took on the enforcers and managed to do... ok!  ;D They fought the law and the law... drew?  :D Though the poor juve didn't stand a chance!

The liquor and elixir stall is done.

Which means it's on to the next one. Thanks to some help from Ragsta I can now fully stock this stand. I give to you the explosives trader. Nothing says 'hazard' more than an open stall of unexploded ordinance!   ;D

A 4mth old son makes for slow hobby progress at times, especially when you have a few projects on the go! This particular piece has been planned for a good couple of years, possibly since lock down, and had parts printed for a good year before printing enough of them to do this with.

Not remotely done yet but getting the bare bones of the structure in place. I want to include some LEDs into this one so will cut a base out for it with the centre cut out so I can add gubbins inside. If this pans out ok, I have two more of the floor plates I think. I'll make another double height and add in some gantries around it.

The basic concept is that it's a sci fi hill. It's line of sight blocking whilst adding height and a platform. This means I can add further structures on top or keep it as is and just add scatter terrain. It could be a landing platform or a structure that a small huddle of shacks are clustered around on top. Essentially just a flexible height giver whilst helping reduce table level firing lanes and adding some atmosphere.

The plan is that the bottom will be detailed out to look like workshops/stores with shutters closed and dwellings. Things like waste/rubbish bags, discarded items and some wall mounted tech will help bring it to life as part of a hive world/sci fi setting.

That piece is going to look great! I wish I had a better understanding (and supply) of LEDs. All I can manage to do is somehow work a flickering LED candle into a larger piece of terrain...

In fairness, that's about all of the knowledge I have to, but for everything else, there's youtube. I have some very basic 25yr old A Level design tecg soldering skills stored in my grey matter somewhere!!  lol

To give you an idea of what I'm trying to achieve with the basic part of the project...

The individual buildings will be bagged up for protection and ease of assembly. The scatter terrain will be stored and transported in seperate boxes.
