Spoked wheels print fine in FDM - I just ran off a bunch for scatter terrain on mine
I will keep that in mind when I get back to the carriage project.
On the other hand I had some progress with my new idea.
I had this thing lying about for more than 20 years now.

I always wanted to use it as a base for a flying boat for my sky pirate figures, but as I don't play anything in the pulp genre (because of a lack of opponents) I never got around it.
I do want to play though, so this is a good opportunity to get started. Beside building the boat I will try and finish the painting on the Artizan Sky Pirates and do the Pulp Alley figures as well.
I started with cutting of the top part.

This got me a good base.
I drew the basic layout on piece of cardboard to see the proportions. There will be a gunnery position on the bow, and the helm will be at the stern.

I plan to do a raised cabin, but I will not detail it internally.
The original idea was to make it an outrigger type thing, mostly to support the big computer fan I planed to use as the propulsion system.

But I couldn't figure out a good way to add the fan. Also I found some old model propellers in my bitz box and decided to go with two engine pods.

I did some detailing and choose two thread spools as the base for the pod.
However I can't decide if I should go with a bigger or a smaller version.

I will try to make some pics with the pods next to the hull tomorrow to give a better look of the two versions.
Until I decide on how to proceed with these I will work on the hull.
