Bookings are now open for the first Midgard Moot - an event aimed at presenting Midgard Heroic Battles games in a variety of settings. We're very fortunate to have the excellent Boards And Swords Hobbies in Derby, UK, as our venue for this.
There are three different options in the event:
1) Hosted games - these are traditional multiplayer Lardy Day-style games taking place in a particular setting and run by an experienced gamer. Everything is provided, so these are ideal for anyone playing for the first time. One game will be played in the morning and another in the afternoon. Games being presented are: Harfleur 1415 (28mm Hundred Years' War); Lord of the Rings (28mm); Battle of Degsastan 603 (15mm Early Medieval); Old World (28mm using Oldhammer miniatures and background) and Teutoburger Wald 9 AD (28mm ancients).
2) Warlords of Dumnonia - a themed Arthurian campaign. Players will need to bring (or can borrow, by arrangement) a 300 point 28mm Force and will take part in three different scenarios during the day as part of a narrative campaign.
3) Of Eorl and Cirion - a themed Middle-earth campaign. Players will need to bring (or can borrow, by arrangement) a 300 point 28mm Force and will take part in three different scenarios during the day as part of a narrative campaign.
Around 2/3 of the places have already gone, but if you're interested, have a look at the full details here, which also include the army lists needed for the campaigns:
