I’m looking to start a Wild West mini project. I really want a few sets of miniatures for use with What A Cowboy and I was thinking about mounted/dismounted figure sets for the main contenders using Foundry. Then I came across Terrain Store by Garrison Miniatures - much cheaper/affordable but printed figures rather than metal.

Are these as good as they look in their photographs?

Are there any issues with the material?

What basing material (they don’t have bases?) is best for printed figures and what glue should I use?

Thanks,

James

Have you considered the Great Escape Games Plastic Gunfighters now the mounted boxes have become available?

I have bought some of those same miniatures from other printers on Etsy. I can't speak for what printing material Garrison uses but the sculpts are really good.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

I'm 99 44/100% sure these are licensed to Garrison (among others) from 3DBreed miniatures who had several kickstarters for mini lines for several periods.  I'll venture a guess that almost all of you play at least one other of the periods they also do:

Their home site is https://3dbreed.com/

on Facebook  https://3dbreed.com/

I had some printed up by a nice gent here in the states and though I haven't had an opportunity to paint them up and base them, the prints from my guy were clean, sharp prints.

I'm not sure how to compare the same files being printed by different folks on different printers with different printing materials.  I don't know squat about the technical details so I just wrote to John at JSW and he gave me his take on the process and the stuff he uses and why.  I'd imagine Garrison is using suitable materials even though they might be different from what JSW uses.

NOT inexpensive, but top quality IMHO I'll also recommend Forrest Harris at Knuckleduster.  Excellent digital sculpts of both generic as well as a great deal of (not) characters from TV and films.  So if you are looking for characters that are well done and you haven't been able to find them, mosey on over to Knuckleduster and take a look.

His most recent set is of four western characters walking down a Mexican street together loaded for bear to have a nice calm gentleman's discussion with the Mexican army about them releasing a friend of theirs who was captured by the army.  So these might be mistaken for the (not) Pike Bishop, (not) Dutch, and (not) the two brothers, but the resemblance is uncanny.

I recently got hold of some.
Too soon to comment on their durability, but the castings are top notch.
I am planning to superglue them to clear bases.
