Name that place to hold a die on a wargame base
« on: 10 March 2025, 02:37:25 PM »
Hi, I'd like to know what's the name of that small square slot to fit a small die in, like you see in the units for Bluecher or other games that mark a unit's loss of resolve by turning a die so that its face shows the actual resolve.
I know it's a long wording for a small bit of knowledge, but you know, I feel like Homer Simpson sometimes.

Cheers!

Litko cleverly calls it a "die holder":

Dice holders? I use the single or double ones on my air wargame bases, but not much else. Made in MDF, easy to get loads of.

Dice holders seem legit, dicehole should definitely be.

I found on Warbases "dice cell" which I like a lot.

Thanks a lot!

Cuboidal receptacle, or CR for short.  ;)

I think dicehhole may be already taken for referring to people who alter dice in their own favor - and why I don't let people use their own dice, especially 'lucky' dice, in my games.
