Nice work!
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Hahah! Done that ? and thanks!

Not in 12mm, but I did one platoon in 15mm. It wasn't toooo bad when the process was familiar.

Looking good all based up!

You?ve managed to hide the Vickers at the back again!

Thanks! Haha, so I did. I should take some more shots before I send these back to Victrix.

After letting the primer dry overnight, I gave the sprues a defining wash of GW Contrast Skeleton Horde, a bit lighter than Snakebite Leather.

There?s a 2 pounder in this shot.

Looking forward to seeing how these come out - the figures seem to have some real character to them.

It is intersting that this set includes the 2pdrs with the infantry. Which feels both good and bad - as you could easily end up with a lot of AT guns to get a decent amount of standard infantry

Agreed it?s a slightly odd choice, but also - hey cool, small guns? There are ready for action and limbered versions on the sprue, so if you have the carriers, it?s a really nice add.

I?m REALLY looking forward to painting these. With nothing like Denison, it will be an opportunity to bring out the detail, rather than bury it.

Stay tuned, painting happens tomorrow!

Test paint for the 8th Army, a mortar with crew.
Vallejo Model Colours:

- Dark Flesh

- Dark Sand for helmet

- Green Grey for webbing

- German Tank Crew for mortar

- Brown-Violet for socks

- Grey-Black for boots and round

Followed by a 10:1 AK Thinner to Burnt Umber definition coat

Bring back colours as necessary.

25mmx25mm base; no basing material as of yet.

Nicely done, and that is some zoomed photo - given the real figures probably come up to the knee of the photo?d ones.

Question about the mortar colour - I?ve always done these the same sand colour as the helmets. But I have no idea if that is correct, now I think about it. Where support weapons painted in the factory and that was that, so green is most likely. Did the factories put on theatre specific colours (and trust they got shipped to the right place) or where they re-painted locally! Too many questions.

They would have been painted sand in-theatre, from stock. I chose to leave this one green, as the whole stand was looking rather ? beige? Still debating to paint it sand, frankly. Hmmm?

Thanks for the kind comment!

That is the problem with desert forces they all end up rather sand coloured!

But Vallejo do do a lot of shades of sand?

So many shades of sand ? and now it?s Dark Sand (which is really a light sand!).

I?m also adding a third model, a bino-spotter.

The officer in crush cap has a moustache! Insane detail on these.
