Agis' Trench Crusade minis

Trench Crusade

"Trench Crusade is a skirmish-scale tabletop miniatures game that will plunge players deep into a horrifying alternate timeline. During the Crusades a heretical band of Templars dared defy the Almighty and, casting aside their sacred vows, unleashed the forces of Hell upon the Earth. Over 800 years later, in the Year of Our Lord 1914, this brutal, merciless war between the forces of Heaven and Hell rages on. This is not just a fight for survival, but a cataclysmic struggle that will decide the very fate of humanity's soul." from https://www.trenchcrusade.com/

Some how this game funded by an incredible successful Kickstarter, eluded me. After reading a bit into it I really liked the background and the rules seem rock-solid and a lot of fun.

So time to get some minis and start painting. The 1st mini is a War Wolf Assault Beast from the Heretic Legion faction.

And finally a scale comparison picture to give you a feel for the size of the Beast!

All the metals are really great. What is your technique? Can't tell if it is NMM or metallics. I also love the symbol etched in the armour pieces. Is that a freehand?

Thanks all for the nice feedback!  :)

Honestly - just Boltgun metal and a wash of Nuln Oil. Then for the rust effect some brown and orange applied with an old scrubby brush.
The symbols are indeed already in the 3d printed model.

And one more:

The Sin Eater is a big model. While I like its brutal look, the gory details on the back aren't really my thing – fitting, but disgusting as hell.
Since the model has such large surfaces, I decided to try out some of Warpaints effect colours, namely: Dark Rust, Fresh Rust, and for the blood, True Blood (which I used sparingly for the aforementioned reasons).
