[Commercial] New GZG fighter sculpts and a comment about Mad Mecha Guy

Just passing on some announcements from Mr. Tuffley:

[OFFICIAL] GZG: Update - and something for the Vacc-Heads!

UPDATE 17th MARCH: NEW FT FIGHTERS!

As some of you may have noticed, a week or so ago I took most of the Full Thrust Fighter Packs down from the store - and now I?m happy to announce the reason why, with the release of the first batch of ALL-NEW fighter groups for several of the main FT fleets! New fighter types for the NSL, ESU and ScanFed forces are all AVAILABLE NOW, with a second round to follow very shortly for the NAC, FSE, UNSC and others. All forces have new STANDARD (Multi-Role) and HEAVY fighter designs, with some also getting extra types such as Interceptor and Torpedo fighters. There will also be some more new Gunboats and Missile Boats coming soon for other fleets - and a new Gunboat design for the ScanFed is included in this batch of releases!

All the new fighters are supplied as packs of SIX, as before, each pack including one plastic flight stand and one clear acrylic 6-arm ?spider? stand top to mount the six fighter minis. For those of you who prefer to mount your fighters in threes rather than sixes, alternative 3-arm stands (FT002B) are available separately on the ?stands and bases? page.

Like the Gunboats and Missile Boats released a while ago, the new fighter types are all beautifully 3D-mastered by ?MMG?, with masters 3D-printed in extremely high definition before being moulded and metal-cast in the traditional way.

And a bit of clarification, as I have seen some wondering about MMG:

MMG (Mad Mecha Guy) has been doing superb 3D design work for me many years, and has done all of the new-type Kra?Vak ships plus all the new fighters and gunboats; he?s also done almost all of my more recent vehicle and weapon releases for 15mm - basically, anything that I?ve produced that has been 3D-mastered has been his excellent work (and even prior to that he did a lot of traditionally-built styrene mastering for me too).

Good to see.  Been quite a while since the last FT release.  Hopefully the fighter upgrades will lead to more full-fleet remasters like the Kra'Vak got as molds wear out, but that's an expensive prospect and metal starship sales are probably struggling against 3D printed ones.  Maybe offering STL files as well as physical figs would help pay for everything, but it'd also likely cost a lot of sales on the physical models.

Pity though, the new-sculpt K'V figs are fantastic models, and much sturdier than than the originals were.
