We are absolutely delighted to announce that the brilliant Magister Militum range of 10mm historical figures now have a new home under new management.
The MM 10mm range has been acquired by Baccus 6mm, and we will be applying the same standards of customer service and high quality production that has marked our 6mm business for the last twenty years.
We will be making a number of changes. Firstly, the range is being rebranded under the banner of ?Tenth Legion? miniatures. We made the decision to opt for a new name because Magister Militum was the home to a large number of ranges and models of differing sizes and scales. We wanted to avoid confusion and focus in on what we will be providing ? 10mm historical figures for wargamers, modellers and collectors.
The most obvious change will be a new website which can be found at
www.tenthlegion.uk. This will follow the format of the existing Baccus 6mm website which is very clear and easy to navigate, and allows you to view the ranges on offer clearly. We will also be reorganising some ranges to better fit our style of formatting and presentation.
We have plans to expand and develop new ranges and add to existing ones, as well as introducing army packs and adding extras such as flag sheets and shield decals.

However, all of this will take time as we have a huge task in simply cataloguing, checking, and where required, making new moulds. As a result, when you visit the site, you will find that there are two catalogues; firstly a ?Tenth Legion? section which is the new format, and secondly a ?Magister Legacy? section. The latter is simply a series of product listings that will allow you to order your old favourites. The ordering process for these is functional, but ?clunky?. Please bear with us with this over the next few months as we will steadily convert these sections and move them across to the more accessible and user-friendly Tenth Legion format.
At the moment, we have no plans for a Tenth Legion presence at UK wargames shows as we have our hands full with the Baccus trade stand as it is, but you will be able to place orders for collection at a show and we will welcome visitors wanting to ask questions about the 10mm ranges face to face.
We are sure that you will have lots of questions about this, so please feel free to ask away. We will do our best to answer all of them.
On a side note, attached is a photo of some Knights Templar painted by Peter. These are the first non-6mm figures he has painted in 20 years or so. He is looking forward to adding lots more.
