Hi Terry ...appreciate the comments about my figures...
Its a complex period with many of the books in French
..and at the time i bought almost all i could find on the
subject and had assistance from friends in France...and
maybe four or five years of deep research ! An essential
book IMHO is anything on the Black Flags..rogue but deadly
Chinese renegades/soldier. the attached copy is of one of these
books...i will post information on this site to assist.

roll..taken from an eye witness account
The French foreign Legion had to borrow
kit from other French units,,,as their ship
carrying iniforms and equipment sank!!
