Gripping Beast New Uruks and Trolls
« on: 05 April 2025, 10:27:39 AM »
Rather impressed by these new Uruks from GB. Just wondering how they compare in size to their armoured goblins of which I have quite a few.

Their new armoured and unarmoured trolls look cool as well.

The armoured trolls are fantastic. Good to see that while Angus McBride's gone, he's not forgotten.

These are metal, I'm assuming? I'll have to check out their site. Those trolls are fantastic (someone else shared some pics of them, too).  :-*

Lovely folk coming from there meanwhile. Only point is that I already work with Oathmark Goblins and Orcs, so I won't go for the Uruks. Trying to avoid a too big pile of unworked stuff, it is already big enough. One or two of those trolls on the other hand would surely complement my forces nicely  :D

Agreed - these are lovely sculpts and I may well end up getting a bunch to make up a unit or two for Midgard and MESBG

These are gorgeous! I’ll have to pick some up for any low fantasy games I might run, really lovely sculpts.

GB have kindly sent me a comparison photo. IMHO the Uruks are too big for orcs but might work as man-orcs.

I am annoyed that they have also just brought out archers for their night, forest, hill and mountain goblins but not their armoured goblins. :( I bought a load of armoured goblins when they first came out on the presumption that archers would be following. Feel like I have been left out on a limb by an incomplete range  :(

He's adding to the range as much as a one man show can... I have the entire range so far. I love everything about it! He's making more and more everyday.

Just pulled the trigger and bought a Saga Goblin warband plus 3 of the unarmoured trolls, looking forward to getting them. :)

The armoured goblins came out nearly two years ago so it doesn't seem unreasonable to expect the archers to be out by now?

Later ranges such as the Woses and now the Uruk have been released as a complete range including archers so why not the armoured goblins?

I am chilled  :) It's Friday and sunny where I am  :) I don't think it is unreasonable to give constructive feedback on figure releases.

a company will release based on sales, if something didn't sell as well as they hoped, they will be a bit slower to expand that range. they are not being unreasonable or doing it to wind you up...  ;D
