Joining the Jones Party Late
« on: April 12, 2025, 07:38:00 PM »
Not necro-ing another thread, but *did* decide it was finally time to get Dr. Jones in miniature.

Picked up the Copplestone "American Adventurer", which I like. I went ahead and painted the suit, but was seriously considering purchasing another and doing a conversion to a leather jacket.

Also futzed around with HeroForge a bit, and created an interesting proxy, but haven't pulled the trigger on purchase of the printed mini (I need to invest in a 3D printer some day)...

In the end, I decided to go with this guy instead, he ticks all the boxes for me.

Reaper has this one - https://www.reapermini.com/search/pulp/latest/50008

I have another one that's pretty close, but I can't remember who he's buy. I have it in my mind that it was Studio Miniatures, but they have gone so I can't check.

I like the one you went with, he has a good Indy vibe

That one's nice, which line is it from?

The Dundee Scholars also have a convincing Indy stand in-

Thanks! It isn't from a current line, though, that's all me. I admit the casting I painted lost a little crispness from the sculpt (metal might be too hard and brittle, not sure if it's a tin thing or a bismuth thing)...

If anyone's interested, by all means let me know ;)

Now to find a suitable Jim Jones figure. His parties were definitely good to be late to.

Can he come in a two-pack with the (legally distinct) Kool-Aid Man?

OH YEAH!

Didn't want to start a new thread, as I wasn't sure people were all that thrilled with this one in the first place ;)

Anyway, Keeping Up With The Joneses!

A re-post and a re-paint (not really, it's a new casting), otherwise all new figures in my collection. I may have gone slightly overboard in my desire for the Indian Jones miniature that best fits my internal criteria.

Nice to see I'm not the only one with multiple Indiana Jones figures, have at least four and all in 15 mm metal.

Curious work.  But 'all the single ladies'...???  Laddies perhaps?  ???

I give things names to amuse myself, and I am apparently easily amused...  :o
