My comments on Strange Aeons have already been posted by a fellow LAF member over at TMP, but I will reiterate them and point out again just how unique, and different these rules are.
I'm currently in the process of gently modifying the system for use in a Science Fiction setting. Gentle modifications in this case meaning simply changing the names of certain lurker types, altering certain skills, maybe swapping a stat here or there to represent what the investigators are facing. For example, Zombies in my game will become "Void Droids", that is to say, robots who have been drifting by themselves in an infected ship for over one hundred years, and as a result of few memory wipes, poor maintenance, and little
human contact, they've become.. quite insane, actually.
I'm also greatly honored that Mike is allowing me to playtest some new rules, and these will be taking a prominent part in my campaign.
I hope to have a topic posted regarding the project soon.
Anyway, the point is, this is a very robust, unique system, worth a read if nothing else. But definitely worth a play, or more;)
