A quick statue for my fantasy city.
« on: April 13, 2025, 02:28:15 PM »
I picked up the most excellent Undead Barrow King from Mammoth Miniatures to use as a statue since he is 50mm tall.  He was set on a pillar made of foamex and textured with a stone.  The corners are filled with string set in superglue.  The central panels was detailed by pressing a gold shaping cup into the surface.  Plates were made of punched stencil paper and added to the central panels along with some brass runes from GSW.  Offerings were then added.  Plastic and 3d printed skulls, tubing candles, punched coins and some pots made from resin, plaster and 3d prints.

Hope you like.

Very nice!
Thank you.  Your Barrow King sells the piece.  The rest is just fluff.  The skeletons are still in the painting queue.

That looks great! Lots of details and I can imagine a few ways to use it as the focal point in scenarios, aside from using it for aesthetics. One thing I am curious about is how stable it is - does the base have enough weight and footprint to keep it stable (I am clumsy enough that I worry about any tall feature on a game table).

Love it, especially the offerings…..nice touch for me the simple coin that’s missed the pot.
