Those look great and very accurate to me, based on the actual uniforms I've seen. Great job! What's next?

Good job on those.  But may I make a suggestion (This message brought to you be The Department of Nit-Picking...)?  The tri-color DCUs had darker brown "clawfeet" on them, as shown in the attached photo.  I hope that is helpful, rather than overly criticizal...

Those are the brown stripes I want to Paint to make them accurate. A three colour camouflage NEEDS three colours...
I Hope my Sight is good enough...

Nice painting.

Thanks a lot, mate!!

I have to finish some scatter terrain and weather some vehicles. Apart from that I'm wsiting for some 3D printed bits to upgrade those very same vehicles...

I hope you do that.  That will really make those figures pop.  And, if it's any consolation, I use a magnifying glass with a directable light source... 8)

I admit I am in the "needs a magnifying glass" for fine details, as well. In fact, I was basically at the stage of giving up on myself as a painter before I bought it. Once I bought it (and cut down the length of my paint brushes), it gave me new confidence. I honestly feel it helped make my hands steadier, too...

We keep moving forward. This time it was the turn of the motor pool of our soldiers and insurgents on the battlefield.

I grabbed a few SUVs and pickups to be part of the Iraqi insurgents. Of course, they were diecast vehicles and needed a bit of weathering to lose that brand-new look.

In these photos, we see the before and after of the weathering process.

These types of diecast vehicles are great for trying out weathering techniques, because if you go a bit overboard, it's no big deal since it's just a toy car that cost you around €3.

the Land Rover is a great example of that excess I was talking about when you go a bit overboard with those weathering techniques:

However, we've already managed to get a few technical pickups for our Iraqi insurgent side.

The Ford Raptor already came with that weathering, so it was a win-win, I didn't have to do absolutely anything to it, mostly out of fear of messing it up.

Here we see how it looks when we put a heavy machine gun on the back.

On our soldiers' side, I already had a 1:43 scale diecast Humvee from the Victoria brand, but since that didn't seem like enough, I decided to get exactly the same one again.

And thats all for today.

What´s next?

I've picked up a diecast LAV25 for my marines, and also a 3D printed M2 Bradley, i´m just waiting for them to be sent.

From the seller's photos, the Bradley looks like a misprint. It was practically free, though I'll have to check the scale once it arrives. It seems like it should be the right scale, but you never know. Anyway, for the price I paid, I can just use it as a paperweight.

I'm also waiting to get two turrets printed for the Humvees, as well as a ZSU23 for the insurgents.

And in the meantime, I'm still painting insurgents...

@Tereydavi if it’s any help with the claw feet detail in brown,  AK do paint pens in WW2 German tricolour camo and I think the brown may be perfect for getting that fine detailing if a brush can’t or is too fiddly.

I love when they don´t look like toy cars anymore.

Great range of miniatures, and the militia miniatures are so damn cool...

Thanks for the tip!
Nevertheless m
I just bought some magnyfing glasses and I have to admit that it´s the best gadget I have ever bought for this hobby. I hope with these glasses I don´t need anything like those pens, but once again, thanks for the tip!!

I keep moving forward in my Battle of Fallujah project for Frontline Heroes: Modern Warfare.

I have just finished painting all the scatter terrain I started a couple weeks ago. They look really good, so I decided to take some pictures to show how great they turned out.

They're made from plastic parts that were headed for the trash, bits from different brands, 3D printed pieces, and discarded 3D misprints.

Hope you like it!

Those are great little pieces; the sort of things that add so much to a table.

Your scatter terrain looks great.
Adds a lot to the table.
Great looking buildings also. :-*
