Harrow County Final Game (FfoL weird west AAR with pics!)
« on: May 20, 2025, 10:44:06 AM »
Last night we played the fourth and final game down at the club in my weird west game. Four players playing their team Sundown Watch in the battle against the Forces of Darkness.

A Daemon Portal had opened up in Salem! Team had to shut it down before Earth would be overrun! Time was of the essence! 7 rounds (with possible 8-10). Humanity's survival was at stake!

The team had, for this Epic encounter, been kitted out with: The Crucifix of Jean D'Arc, The Tome of Paracelsus and The Holy Handgrenade of Antioch. They started out strong,  cutting swathes in the Forces of Evil. Turn 2 saw a mighty Archdemon appearing on the table, but the veteran operatives held fast and defeated the being. Sister Beatrice activated the Holy Handgrenade and as it was said only "Beings of Foul Darkness would succumb to the Holy Light ", she wiped out a large force of vampires and zombies and skeletons acting as Ground Zero for that explosion!

But the never-ending hordes kept coming and the heroes, one by one started to fall against the onslaught. Time was running out and a second Archdemon appeared on the battlefield! In a last desperate effort with his fading strength, Albert, the support specialist tried to decipher the runes on the Portal to close it down! Sweat and blood running in his eyes, the only one left standing and vampires, zombies, were creatures and Archdemon closing in on him. He started reading the runes, uttering guttural, dark words... but he couldn't make out the last one... a claw ripped through his back and stopped his heart...

An awesome fun little game series. As the runner of the game my most important thing was that everyone had fun! That meant I sometimes fudged the rules a little, one way or the other to keep the action going and in this case, in turn 7 giving the heroes that last chance to succeed in true heroic fashion. Unfortunately, it looked like the player had used up all his good rolls by that time  lol.

The most important thing in the hobby is that you're having FUN! Doesn't matter if you win or lose.

Looks like a blast. I love using the different books to have crossover games.

It was indeed a very fun little exercise! I'd like to extend my thanks to you sir for creating these awesome game rules! They are such a joy to work with and make any mad idea you have a walk in the park to concoct. I did indeed mix Reloaded 2nd edition with the Core rules and the horror supplement.

And my four players really enjoyed this adventure so that's a big win for me.

Regards,

Legionnaire.

Don't see too many Old West towns with outdoor movie theater screens...

 ;)
