Fallout Alley [Pulp Alley Battle Report]
« on: July 04, 2025, 10:30:36 AM »
Hi. I started a new campaign this year. Being a fan of Fallout and already having a nice collection of miniatures and scenery, and really wanting to try out the Pulp Alley system in a campaign, I decided to combine the two.
So I started working on the "Perilous Island" campaign book.
I'm currently on Act 2.

A few photos of my games.

Fantastic looking game.

I've checked out your blog and can confirm you're a fan of Fallout :D :D

You have some beautifully painted miniatures.

That's a fantastic array of good looking tables. As a Pulp Alley fan, I'd love to play on them.

Very cool. I've not tried Pulp Alley but have heard good things. Must be good if it is able to be used in multiple genre.

The game system is a great discovery for me. Adaptable to all universes, quick and easy to understand, perfect for playing with all types of players. It plays well solo, but I really love the atmosphere created with multiple players. For solo play, I would recommend scenarios written specifically for solo/co-op.
Since it's a generic system, there are no in-depth rules for universes, equipment, etc., but the focus is on the story and atmosphere. And then there are plenty of additional rules to fit different universes, vehicles, etc.
Plus, the creators bring their game to life with new additions and scenarios regularly. Nothing to complain about.

I've been looking into Pulp Alley for fallout games. How well does it adapt to power armor and robot variants (Mr.Handy, Protectron, Eyebots, etc.)?

I think you'll find everything you need to customize your characters among the long list of abilities and perks.
The only thing I haven't found is a rule to simulate the robots' self-destruction.

How about when a robot is down it becomes the center of a perilous area?
