First up my AT-AT dropship I had primed and then set aside for the Build something contest finally got some paint on it. Now Avatar is out I want to change the tail.  ::) I will use it as a construction supply ship or similar.

Next some bodyguards for Harry , three UFO girls and not Arnie and Bruce.

Set 4 of Studio Miniatures Zombies . Pirate Pete is getting a Placard to hold which I am just painting now . The lady on the extreme right bottom I named Jackie after a lady I met on a dating site so I hope she does not see this post. lol I also have Lucy Liu as O-Ren Ishii to lead my Japanese Schoolgirls. There is also a TAG reporter I got free who was painted a day or so after he arrived.

Last up my Naughty Nuns converted Michi style . I also changed some guns as the originals did not look that good . I did heaps of layers of skin tones which got lost under the varnish and lighting . :'( Also there is The Bride and Martha Jones both converted from Foundry figures.

I never converted nuns that way... (though it is a tempting idea!)

Must admit I never liked the concept when you were playing around with this, but have to confess it looks good now finished, (like the T-rex walker cockpit very nice) Though it would look great in US drab with a pig iron APC next to it (very alienesque!).

Yeah I have to echo the commander and say it looks very good now, even if I wasn't convinced at the start - time for me to go and search for an old ATAT!

A lot of beautiful stuff again this month  :-*

I must said that my favourite piece is the POE bust… the flesh tones are really great. Nice work silvana! 8)

It took some had tinkering to get it looking like this but it was worth it in the end. I did'nt think it looked military enough to paint it green but will use it as the escape ship for my Aliens type game.

Hope you all don't mind if I tell you a story. Since my daughter was born 2 years ago I have had very little time to game and paint but did have time to cruise the net waiting for her to go to sleep! I looked at wonderful sites like this and Steve Dean's and began to realize that my painting wasn't up to scratch. I tried black undercoat, grey undercoat, 3 layers etc. and failed miserably. It was taking so long I would never even scatch the surface of the lead mountain. I stripped figures and repainted them. Eventually I realised that I had hit 'paralysis by analysis'. I finally tried a simpler approach - paint an area with just the highlight colour over white undercoat and wash with GW washes. It won't win me any competitions but it is quick and is easily good enough for the tabletop.
So in December I have painted:
14 Darkest Africa Foundry Ruga Ruga
6 Westwind Arabs for Chaos in Cairo
4 Artizan Foreign Legion also for CinC
1 Soviet Tanker - the Westwind freebie with the Doomsday supplement for SOTR.

This is more than I have painted in the last 2 years!
No piccies as I haven't got my camera sorted but I will get there.
