NIGHTMARE!!!
« on: August 08, 2025, 06:16:57 PM »
Just got back to our pokey little seaside resort, from Sheffield. Six days guarding mi' two feral grandkids, on a one man mission!
So, I'm now having a good drink and a moanathon to Harry,  Bob, Dave and six thousand toy soldiers...
at least I'll get the last word in, tonight!
 :o
"Wot did you do in the war Grandad?"

"I was with Harry... At The Bridge!"

"feral grandkids" seems redundant - at least from what I see with my friends little ones. Though the oldest (5) is showing signs of wanting to game & play with the cool painted figures (simple dice rolls & no rules).  Hold on - the future might be brighter.

lol, I had my two nieces and a nephew here a week ago.

I literally described the boy as “feral”. Went for Japanese, the monster was stealing food from my plate like he’d never been fed before  lol

I’m also now recovering from having to drink the pain away

I had the bright idea of getting a slot car set for my 9 and 7yr old grandsons to play with when they come over.  Several $$$ later all I see them wanting to do is crash them into the corners full speed, giggling all the way!!!  They claim they're not doing it on purpose, but I can see the gleem in their eyes when the cars go careening off into the wildnerness at every turn.  :o >:(
Plus they spend the night every so often, they eat everything!!!  I do enjoy having them over though, for entertainment value if nothing else!
The crow flies at midnight
