Qing, Taiping, and Second Opium War in 15mm?

Hello all,

Many moons ago I started a Taiping project that I have finally got round to formulating a plan for resuming, and as part of that I became curious about what ranges are still available for the relevant conflicts above. At the moment I'm aware of the following (because I happen to have gone out and bought most of these back when I started):

• Irregular's Mutiny range (for the Taiping and British) and Boxer range (for Qing imperial troops)
• Khurasan's Manchus
• Blue Moon's Boxer range (which I've drawn on for Hunanese militias and Mongolian cavalry); I also note that they have 2nd Anglo-Afghan War Indians who might be my closest approximation for 'Disciplined Chinese' auxiliaries e.g. EVA

Are there any new Qing or Taiping ranges that have cropped up in the last 6 years that are worth noting? And any suggestions for 15mm French for this period?

(Apologies for posting the same thing in two boards, but this overlaps sufficiently that it seemed worth asking in both places.)

Lancashire Games have some in their 18mm range,

Don't think they are a new release within the last 6 years though...

I might have a chunk of their Boxers left unpainted, would it be worth my while digging them out, I'd sell them at 30p a casting?

Lancashire are too big to match Irregulars ranges and the Khurasan one.

Sadly no new ranges have appeared.

For EVA I bought some Irregular Mutiny British Sikhs and some Peter Pig bald heads. The idea being to cut the heads off the Sikhs (far too beardy for EVA) and replace with the baldies. Then, when all was solid, green stuff Chinese style turbans. The result should be very EVA but I have yet to do it.

@sultanbev – a tempting offer but if the scale doesn't match I suspect I'd be better off sticking with Blue Moon for those.

@OB – ah, that's a shame. How bad is the difference? If I were to flatten down the puddle bases a bit would the end result be okay? Those Kansu Braves look like a good way to represent Hunan/Anhui troops with foreign weapons.

It is very bad and filing the bases or whatever wouldn't make much difference. 

I have some Lancashire archive range Zulus very nice indeed true 15mm. I have some Lancashire 15mm Sikhs and Gurkhas 20mm high and wouldn't fit in a million years.

Old Glory Khansu Braves 15mm might be worth a look if you want to go that way.  Nice figures.

Do/did Old Glory do figures specifically marked as Gansu Braves? It seems like the current Old Glory site only shows the Blue Moon range (which also seems to be on the 18mm end, but not unacceptably tall next to 15s by my standards anyway); I've had a look both at Timecast and 19th Century Miniatures and neither seems to have anything marked as such. Those rifle-armed cavalry look interesting, though, might have to grab some...

Yeah, Lancashire sculpts are giants that don't play well with others.  And I freely mix a lot of ranges.  Fortunately, I had done due diligence and went hunting for comparison photos, which saved me from buying any of their Napoleonics.
