I might be severely misguided here, but... I know he is called Little John, but wasn't this because he was nearly 7' tall?

Yes, John Little.
Seven foote tall and fearsome to behold according to the 16th century Ballads. Described as large limbed and around an "ell" about the waist.

But hey, Marion was not a warrior and leader of teh outlaw band. Although in one of her earlier/alternate appearances as Clorinda, the Queen of Shepherdesses she is noted as proficient with a bow.

A Robin Hood legend for "modern audiences".

Is this set based on the BBC show with Tony Robinson as the sheriff?

they are based on the BBC kids tv show Maid Marian and Her Merry Men, in which Little John was indeed very little. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maid_Marian_and_Her_Merry_Men

I want to know where Rabies & Snooker are?

Okay, that probably explains the rastafarian looking guy and the other one that looks like a pirate. The Prince looks like a character out of Shrek and wearing fashion about 400 years too modern for the traditional Robin Hood setting of the 12th century.

Someone did some figures based on that movie from a few years ago which was more like Assassin's Creed than anything else.

I wish they'd stop destroying the traditional story, same goes for King Arthur.
