I should have been a cowboy (AK-47 campaign for 08.24.2025)

Last battle in the campaign was a victory for New Rhodesia but Chopper Dave left the game early, as his coffee mug was running low.  Upon returning to the airfield, Chopper Dave finds the unpainted forces of Maite are moving on the field!  Chopper Dave calls in for reinforcements but was sadly downed on Turn 1!  (My attack helo was the ONLY unit to arrive for first turn).

Fortunately the brave forces of New Rhodesia were in the area and responded fiercely..  I had no armor at all but prize unit was a Professional unit sporting two new field guns and two mortars.  I had another unit of regulars with a couple of mortars also, mortar heavy!  Both of these units were heavy hitters.  The regulars caught a militia unit in the open and continually pinned the whole lot down until they eventually lost their nerve and morale.  The pro gun and mortars dealt heavy casualties but didn't result in any full unit KIA's.

A narrow New Rhodesia victory (under 10 VP difference) so Maite still grasps and clings to their cover story of a tie.  Luckily Chopper Dave only sustained minor injury and was extracted from the helo and recovered for the traffic reporting mission.

Note the new crashed UFO/alien/cow objective.

Seems to me like the New Rhodesian forces know their business... ;)
