Astropod

I was in Sports Direct and found some cheap toys that work well as sci-fi terrain. The range is called Astropod and there are eight different sets. The main pod will make a very good fuel storage unit or some such. You also get other things inside them and one of the best i have picked up so far is the station builder set. This set has extra pieces that allow you to connect multiple pods together. For the £5 per set i think they are really good things to have. Each pod also has what some might call male and female parts on each end to allow them to connect to each other allowing you to extend them for larger structures.
The Sports Direct online shop has six different sets listed link below.

Has anyone else bought these and if so what are your thoughts on them.

They do tend to get some good stuff in.
 Action figures too.
They also have the Halo miniatures game in by Mantic at half price £30 which is not too bad for eight miniatures and terrain.

The only way I can conceive of a wargamer in a sports shop is if a) he's wandered in by mistake or b) he's looking for comfy, stretch-waist trousers to cover the ale belly!  lol
