Greetings from East Sussex UK
« on: 25 September 2025, 09:19:35 AM »
Hi All
I have been lurking on here a while and thought it was a good time to sign up.
I really got into wargaming when my son was school age, having bought him GWs Gorkamorka as an Xmas present. Moved onto 40k v3 soon after and also joined a 40k playing club.
By the time v6 came out, my son had lost interest in playing with Dad at home and the club had fizzled out too.
I kept up the model making through to v9, even though not gaming, until joining another club a couple of years ago. I was alreadystarting to lose interest in 40k and look at other game rulesets where I could still use the models and figures that I have, so joining a club where a variety of different games are played each week has been a godsend. I have got a couple of Stargrave crews, and am working on British and Afghans for TMWWBK, along with scenery and buildings to go with this.
Workwise, I  am a former cabinet maker turned D&T technician. I have reached pension age but am working on still. I do enjoy using the school laser cutter for a bit of homework. Hope to post some pics of these sometime.
I was on the ammobunker forum for a few years but lost my pics to photo bucket wanting payment for a service, which I did not want indulge in. I have something of a shoestring budget for this hobby as it's one of three. Hopefully I am able to start again with another pics site.

welcome, you can host here on the forum. Look at the link at the top just above the advert and click on Gallery, then My Gallery. you need to create a folder to upload stuff, but it's pretty straight forward.

Welcome! I started in 40K as well and more or less was priced out, then the rules sealed the deal. I use Pulp Alley rules for smaller skirmish games now. I look forward to seeing your TMWWBK forces. Do you have an interest in just that part of history or history in general?

Mikai  thanks
anevilgiraffe, thanks for the advice.
Sakuragi Miniatures, thanks also, my interest in history is fairly general, I was reading WW2 history as a teenager and I have branched out to other conflicts since, predominantly British and empire history, but not exclusively.

Greetings from Germany.

I also have a limited budget, so I use Pulp Alley and similar, on the basis that less figures means smaller tables and lower costs. I'm also more into storytelling and perfer character based games.

I'm another former cabinet maker although in my case I became an occupational therapist.
