Deep One Hybrid Priest
« on: 19 December 2009, 07:49:46 AM »
Inspired by Joe's recent images, I attempted to start my Hybrid Priest (available for sale VERY soon). Here he is at about 50% finished. Still need to brighten the highlights, finish the clothing and the base. His transformation to deep one is almost complete.

But, I am in the mood to post images, so that's why he is up.

Do you have a UK retailer?

I wouldnt worry about UK retailer as ther mail order service is the best I have come across. I have ordered to UK several times and all arrived within 5 days (better than many UK companies) + good exchange rates at mo. and cheap postage always seems to be re adjusted down after ordering.

The miniatures don't have a UK dealer. Northstar carries our books only.

However, shipping from Brigade or myself is reliable. Don't use the website to figure postage though. Because of the limitations of the software, I can't put all options in.. Let me know where you would like it shipped and I can give you postage.

To Europe, a small flat rate box (which will hold about 4 packs of figures) runs about $13. A pack or two of figures can be shipped first class for about $9 (just note that this is uninsured so if it gets lost, it could be months before a refund is issued).

I do my best to allow customers to support their local stores, but I can't make anyone carry the line, so I do my best to get the package to you in the way you would prefer.

The problem we have currently though is the Royal Fail, erm sorry Mail and Parcel farce.... erm Force excuse me are hungry to grab additional cash by charging a flat rate £8 'handling' charge on top of any customs charges. Once your on the radar you get stung for a while on everything coming through. I like many others have got to hold fire on US ordering for a while now to get off the scope. It would be great if you had a UK supplier direct for a few of the more popular ranges.

I'm with you on this one Commander. I got stung BIG time with my last order from the US  :-[ I misjudged the total value of the package so customs hit me first and then our chums from Royal Mail added their £8 handling charge on top of that. By the time you add the original postage to the extra charges it ended up costing me more than 3 times the actual price of the figures I bought!

Pleeeeeease get a UK dealer. I'm itching to get my hands on all those Deep One hybrids.
...and what fresh new hell is this?

It's not for lack of wanting one. There are only so many places capable of importing enough to make it worthwhile and they already carry the ranges they want.

If enough people make enough noise at one, then maybe they will change their minds.

Don't blame the Royal Mail.  HM Customs and Excise requires them to collect duties and doesn't pay the admin costs of doing so, so what else can the Royal Mail do?

Charge an appropriate price for handling for a start?   :?

Anyway minis look good painted up, thanks for sharing and maybe in the future I'll order but currently obviously 'on the radar'.
