Very nice work, I appreciate the tutorial.
Quick question, where does one buy plastic rods; hobby shop, home depot, Michael's?

Sweet! I'm excited about the vehicle rules, and this stand tutorial is great! Have you thought about using something like this:
http://www.shapeways.com/blog/archives/2238-how-to-design-snap-fit-ball-joints-for-3d-printing-with-shapeways.html
The planes can then dive, bank, or my personal favorite, strafe!

We live far from civilized lands, so we had to order the acrylic rods off the interweb.  ;)

The first plane I did like this, I inserted a short brass tube in the plane as well, so it was always held straight.

I didn't do this with the last few planes so they can be set at angles. I'm sure we'll get around to posting some pics eventually.

Brilliant tutorial.  The lay-out of the step-by-step is excellent and very clear.

Say Dave and/or Mila, there's a question I've been meaning to ask about your adobe buildings: What are the stud heads in the doors made from? Pins (perhaps with the point cut off)?

These are pretty easy to do, but here are a few tips that may come in handy.

What diameter rod do you use?
1/2"
3/8"

I made those by squeezing out very small dabs of "Puffy" Paint. It worked nicely, but the trick was simply getting a consistent amount each time. I found the stuff at a local Hobby Lobby store, but here's a link as well ---

The rods I used are 1/4" in diameter. I'm happy with that size. Even at 14" long, it's plenty sturdy.

I did try using a 3/16" rod first, but it wobbled too much.

Here’re some WIP pics of terrain we're putting together for our next Pulp Alley campaign -- Vice Alley…

Before I got much further, I wanted to mockup the terrain just to test proportions, flexibility, and playability…

I’m planning on doing four 12”x12” blocks and two 12”x6” blocks…

The blocks won't be attached to the streets, so we can shift them around and make different layouts...

Everything is just taped together at this point. There are a few things I plan on changing, but I'm happy with how it's coming along so far...

More to come...........

Looks like a good start.

Trace those babies and make some templates so we can copy you more easily ;)

These buildings are looking really good, even at this early stage. Keep the photos coming, please.

In all honesty this does look like a rather good start. Nice layout. Actually giving these a texture paint coat and a grey dry brush would provide you with a pretty decent quick and easy getup I suppose. Expecting more then that from you lot tough.  :D
