On 19th september 1827 James Bowie, became embroiled in a duel which became known as the Sandbar incident. On a riverbank outside Natchez, Mississippi he was shot twice, (through the lung and thigh) sustained seven stab wounds including a sword thrust through the hand and received a heavy blow to the head from the butt of a dueling pistol. He defended himself with a large knife reportedly given to him by his brother, killing one of his opponents with a thrust through the heart.
This episode sealed his notoriety and gave birth to a legend.

William Barret Travis was a idealistic hot headed young lawyer from South Carolina who found fame commanding a small force at a former mission now fort called the Alamo.

James Butler Bonham was the last courier to leave from and return to the besieged Alamo in feb/march 1836. His journey back to the mission brought news that no reinforcements would be coming. In doing he knew he would be returning to certain death.

Sgt Frederick William Jefferson Lightfoot from Virginia was one of many US army deserters who went to Texas to enlist in the fledgling army. A veteran of many campaigns he still wears his former uniform although it has seen better days..

Mial Scurlock from North Carolina came to Texas looking for a new life with his family.

Daniel William Cloud from Kentucky one of many lawyers who drifted to Texas in the hope of making his fortune.

Samuel E Burns travelled to the Americas all the way from Ireland and ended up in Texas.

Amos Pollard travelled to Texas from Massachusetts intent on hunting Buffalo and ended up involved in a war instead.

Malamute;
Great looking figures. Finally a figure worthy of depicting my long deceased relative... Colonel William B. Travis. Well done!!

They are full of character. Some lovely detailing going on there - well done Mr Bickley.

Woah! Superb character in those. Lovely work (and good choice of sculptor there, Nick  ;))

There's something in those Bickley genes, obviously...

Yes I've read Dead mans Walk, a great book. Most inspiring for the early Texas Rangers with skirmishes against Apaches and Commanches.
Now Commanches - there's a thought.... ;)

Those are lovely sculpts and I'm very tempted by them.
But is it possible for you to sell the dismounted minis separately. These are very usefull to bulk up the ranks of my Texian army and I would need several Daniels, Amos, Mials ....  . But I don't need the mounted ones (or at least not so many of them).

Also, how is the scale compared to the Artizan Texians?
