In answer to your question, yes and no. Both seem to be fairly flexible about scale if not cavalier. The more modern corgi stuff is generally 1/60, but their early stuff could be all over the place.
They will not force us,
They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
We will be victorious!!

Chieftain lists Scimitars, Scorpions, Sultans and Strikers in 1/56:

Honourable Lead Boiler Suit Company used to do CVR(T)s in 1/48, but they seem to have vanished from their listings.
Back from the dead, almost.

I just remembered these guys, Scarlet and Gold:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/glenn.turner/vehicles.htm

I haven't seen them for real (or dealt with the company), but they list Samaritans, Sultans and Samsons.

I feel very old now... I had the Saladin as a kid. It did have one of those spring loaded guns to fire matchsticks out of though iirc. So a little work would be necessary to fill the slot. They fetch about £50 at auction though.  :?

Ooh £50 think I have one somewhere at home ;D

SJ now own the Chieftain models, they are ideal. Also worth checking out are the Mongrel minis Brits which fit very well with the MOFO ones. I am sure I have seen some lightly equipped 1970s Brits somewhere too perhaps to do with Dr Who

I think that as with all die cast cars and toys condition is everything. I have managed to pick up a couple of unboxed, play worn Saladin’s from EBay for £5 / £6 each inc P&P which scale with GB's MoFo ranges very closely  :D

Now if only I could find a couple of Dinky Saracens too all would be well, but they seem to be a bit rarer, althought there are tons of match box saracens on EBay at any given time it would seem.

Black Tree does have some UNIT figures that match that description in its Doctor Who range.

Mystic spiral had a few nice ones, including a not-brigadier. Can't get into the site at work though.

Typically for me Mongrel Minis seems to be in the process of changing hands when I finally sort out what I fancy and the ranges are not currently available.

Mystic Spiral has their website hacked and is down for the moment, I dont suppose anyone has pics of the minis anywhere?

As for Black Tree, the less said the better really, even with my usual project drift I fancy doing something along these lines this year rather than next, or not at all as the case sem to be for some

Thanks for the suggestions for troops though, I appreciate the help  :)

Keep an eye out for Britannia's  new line of miniatures under Inkerman miniatures. I believe from what I read that a Saracen could be on the list.

Sorry for resurrecting a nearly dead thread but:

Mystic Spirals link here:

http://www.mysticspirals-miniatures.co.uk/

The British are in the Modern Horror section.

Secondly the ebay corgi Saladin is 1/50 as is the corgi Centurion, I know this as I have been snapping them up of late for my own SPACE:1959 projct.

Have you seen V's thread in which he paints the new 1/56 Saladin?

Looks like a lovely model. I think I'll be getting some for Cold War African Skirmishes.

Yes I have, lovely vehicle and I hope it will match the Saladins from Corgi closely enough that I won't have to scratchbuild the Saracen bodies...
