They're quite robust if you fill the backs with expanding foam and prime them with a decent primer.

That's exactly what I do. I've been using some of their trenches and ruins for about 4 years and they're still going strong.

Is this the stuff in aerosol cans you buy in DIY shops for filling holes in walls around pipes etc?

I agree, expanding foam would be good. I would use wall filler or plaster...

But that might just pop out because of the plastic.

They are VERY good vac-formings. I found them very good, but sold them on. I am considering buying a few more bits and bobs though.
