The Foundry Maroons from their pirate range are just the ticket for the Haitian forces. Nice and raggedy.
You'll definitely need some ad hoc rules for the European forces to take into account the difficulties of fighting in the tropics - lots of soldier dropping down dead from yellow fever.

Two really good histories of the Haitian Revolution are
The Black Jacobins by CLR James, and
Avengers of the New World by Laurent Dubois.
There's also a good Osprey,
British Forces in the West Indies 1793-1815 worth checking out for this period - lots on the British involvement. Sadly, there's nothing on the whole conflict though - would make a great Osprey.
