What should we do next for Shanghai, 1930?

Hello, everyone.

Poll is as it says. Basically, we're finally seeing some interest in the Shanghai range, particularly with the imminent release of the Japanese, the Great Adamski, and others. I can also say that Brian Cooke, who did the sculpt for the Great Adamski, will be doing some new Shanghai Municipal Police sculpts for us in the near future.

Anyway, I'm wondering what you think we should work on next for the Shanghai range, and I'd be really grateful for your input. Essentially, if you were to consider buying figs for the setting (historical, pulp, or otherwise), which would you prefer to see available?

I've posted this here, as there is a great deal of interest in gaming the Chinese-Japanese conflict lately, at at any rate, a lot of the things that happened in Shanghai in the 1930s were not just bits of pulpish fancy, they really did occur, so I think it qualifies this as an Interwar range just as easily. (Feel free to move if you disagree, Jim:) )

I just picked up my copy of Tintin: The Blue Lotus and found about fifty things I'd like in there, including Japanese soldiers in cold weather gear, Chinese police in gaitors, and Chinese civilians in traditional robes and vests.  And regarding the latter, it would be fun to have some bowing Chinese figures.

Oh my daughter just discovered Tintin and we just got into the Blue Lotus! She loves it. I voted for the French, but now that you mention the blue lotus I'd have to go with Chinese civilians! Can I change my vote!

I would like to see the occupants of a gin sling bar. Orientals & Europeans, males & females in evening dress, coctail dresses and dress uniforms. Lots of slicked backed hair, monocles and posturing. Serving waiters and perhaps seated diners?

"Lust, Caution" should provide some inspiration, although part of it is set in Hong Kong 1938, and the Shanghai bits are supposed to take place in 1942.  The movie was directed by Ang Lee and was released in 2007.  It's a must see, unless your heart can't handle the erotic bits.  It would be a fine scenario for Pulp.  Here's the wiki:

Another good source of inspiration should be the movie "The White Countess" from 2005.  It's a little sedate, but it's got good characters and could be developed into a Pulp Shanghai thing.  Here's the wiki:
